The National Homeland Defense Foundation President, LTG (Ret) Ed Anderson presented Battalion Chief Troy Branham of the Colorado Springs Fire Department with a commemorative plaque to show continued support and honor the sacrifices of the Colorado Springs Fire Department.  The inspirational memorial picture honors the 343 FDNY firefighters who died on September 11, 2001.  Better Angels:  The Firefighters of 9/11 features individual monochromatic portraits of the fallen firefighters and will be displayed at the Colorado Springs Fire Department Headquarters, 375 Printers Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

The National Homeland Defense Foundation sponsored the U.S. Global Leadership's December, 16 luncheon, America's Global Leadership: Impact on Colorado. The luncheon featured keynote speaker General Anthony Zinni along with remarks from Mayor Michael B. Hancock and former U.S. Senators Hank Brown and Gary Hart.
